The Monopoly Bowl

This bowl has to be one of my favourites, it combines woodturning with playing board games.

I didn’t know how the monopoly money was going to look once the resin had been poured and the finish they have created really makes the bowl stand out. I was debating whether to shred them similar to the Dollars in the Crypto-currency dish but glad I didn’t as it would have looked more like confetti.

I also like the fact that one of the cards has been cut into so you have that organic raw edge of the card, this adds another dimension to the bowl base. It also includes one of the utility cards so its not all solid blocks of colour.

I debated trying to include some of the houses but I’m glad I didn’t as this would have probably made the bowl too busy and taken away from the look that was achieved. I might do something with the houses in a future Youtube video. :)

This is one of the larger bowls I have created and I am really happy with the end result. I hope you like it as well.
