The Wedding Bowl.

This bowl was commissioned by a family for their daughter/sister as a first wedding anniversary gift.

This was a really fun project to work on as it is very similar to the Jersey bowl I made a little while ago, except this had alot more sentimental value as the coin is inscribed with the message my heart and my devotion which had a really nice sentiment to it.

The sand used in the edge of the bowl was also special in the fact it was collected from the beach where they had their wedding photos taken. This makes the bowl truly unique to them.

The bowl itself is made from oak which is my preferred timber of choice for these types of items as it is a classical grain and colourway. Oak also works with most modern aesthetics so its a solid choice for a statement piece such as this.
